The Outlying Islands Women's Federation has received funding from the Environment and Conservation Fund and the Environmental Campaign Committee to organize the "Environmental Protection Fund "Clean Out South Lantau" Community Clean Coast Education Program". This includes a workshop on "Nature Conservation Story".
The workshop will focus on storytelling, allowing participants to learn about common species and coastal litter problems in the Shuikou Bay wetland in South Lantau through the use of children’s storybooks as learning materials, using illustrations and text with augmented reality (AR) elements.
AR storybook features:
Original parent-child story
The content is based on the three concept elements of "child-oriented", "interactive" and "parent-child reading", aiming to make parents and children pay more attention to the problem of coastal garbage in Hong Kong.
Ecological education children's picture book combined with AR augmented reality
Break the tradition and get out of the box! Picture books combined with Augmented Reality Augmented Reality (AR) technology allows readers to shoot picture books through smartphones, so that the real scenes on the screen show objects that are virtualized by computers! Allow readers to see the contents of the picture book and virtual augmented objects at the same time!
Highly realistic ``virtual'' animals
The picture book introduces several common animals in Hong Kong wetlands. AR technology presents their real appearance, so that children can see them even if they can't be in a wetland environment!
Interactive mini games
In addition to the virtual animals, the picture book also has an interactive mini-game for waste reduction and recycling, allowing children to sort the virtual garbage into the relevant recycling bins.
