RADIODONTOUEL was created by students and professors of the Dentistry and Computer Science courses at the State University of Londrina (UEL), in order to integrate technology with education. The development of a dynamic application for mobile devices, as complementary teaching material, would allow consultation at the time of performing the technique in order to successfully obtain the radiograph.
Good quality radiographs are essential for the diagnosis process, in addition to being an important part of the dental documentation. Errors in radiographic techniques are the main reasons for repeating exams, leading to biological damage, due to unnecessary exposure of the patient to X-rays and financial costs for the patient, in addition to increasing labor costs.
The correct performance of the techniques encompasses several factors related to the patient, the image receiver and the X-ray source, and so that no steps are left, the user will be able to rely on this application.
The application covers the intraoral techniques: Bisector Periapical, Periapical using the positioner, Interproximal and Occlusal (the latter two will be updated).
Upon "payment", the user may have access to content on extraoral techniques.
Thus, the application will offer, in a complete and didactic way, the most used radiographic techniques!
This version has the presence of a QUIZZ, where the user can test their knowledge before taking the radiograph! Through interactive buttons, users will be able to navigate easily and quickly through the chosen techniques.
