FM Tiempo 91.9 is a social project that emerges as a pedagogical space of a school
Secondary school of the town of Cuartel V in Moreno, the E.E.S.T No. 5 (former Media No. 9).
With the accompaniment of Professor Sergio Pazos, students and neighbors of the community
They started in 1993 a radio show on FM Alegría from Barrio José C. Paz. A
experience that was the kick to start dreaming of a school radio.
Among the founding students of the radio are: Jesus Ebis, Fernando Rivero, Orlando
Tellechea, Marcos Rivero, Héctor Pérez, among others.
The first program was called “PRESENT” and that word summarized the desire to speak
on the current issues that interested the people of the neighborhood, the value of creating spaces of
meeting, dialogue and transformation. Since meeting others through the word is the
First step to carry out projects in the post of common welfare.
The enthusiasm and impact was so important that together they began to look for
resources to start your own radio. This could be achieved in 1994, with the assembly of
study, a tower of 48 meters and the dipoles. FM Weather starts operating on May 3
1994 on Calle Mayor del Pino, between La Pintura and La Escultura.
Middle School No. 9 in 1991 moved to Quirno Costa and Luis Agote (where today
finds the E.E.S.T No. 5) but always had a direct link with FM Tiempo. With the
Authorization of the inspectors, the students carried out their programs together with their teachers.
There they shared what they learned, talked about current national and neighborhood issues, listening
music that represented the diversity of the neighborhood.
Ten years ago the transmission tower, together with the studio was moved to the building where
The Technical School No. 5 (Ex Media No. 9) currently operates. A pedagogical tool
used by students that works as a link between the school and the neighborhood.
In 2020 FM Time 91.9 begins to broadcast on the internet, approaching through the
