[What is a Smart Sign?]
Smart Sign is a security service used when authentication is required, such as certificate login and financial transactions, by storing certificates in the cloud through a smartphone.
▶ The certificate stored in HSM (Hardware Security Module) is not copied to other storage media such as PC or USB for security.
▶ It cannot be used with budget phones or prepaid phones.
▶ "Security token" can be used on all sites that require a certificate.
[Guide to using Smart Sign]
① You must install a PC program to use Smart Sign on PC Internet Banking and public institution websites. (Download: smsign.co.kr)
② Smart Sign is provided as an additional service of the subscribed carrier.
*Usage fee: 990 won per month _ Combined billing for communication charges
*Cancellation inquiries: Customer Center (1644-5128) or cancellation within the Smart Sign App
[Main functions of Smart Sign]
① Certificate management
- You can delete the issued certificate.
- You can check the validity period of the certificate.
② Copy and save to the certificate cloud (HSM)
- You can copy and save certificates on PC or USB to cloud (HSM).
- You can copy and save the certificate in the smartphone SD card to the cloud (HSM).
③ Electronic signature (Internet, authentication)
- If you need an electronic signature on your PC (bank/government office, etc.), you can use the certificate in the cloud (HSM) by entering your mobile phone number.
- It is more secure because it uses a fingerprint (FIDO) or PIN rather than a certificate password.
- At the time of final authentication, check it again with your smartphone and you cannot perform final authentication unless it is you.
[Guidance on App Access Permissions]
Based on the Information and Communications Network Act for the protection of users related to smartphone app access rights, Smart Sign accesses only the items essential to the service, and the contents are as follows.
- Required Permissions
1. Internet or wifi: Required to store and use certificates in the cloud.
2. Notice: Required for connection with PC while using service.
3. Storage space: It is necessary to store the certificate in the mobile phone storage space in the cloud.
4. Telecommunication company and mobile phone number: Necessary for checking accurate information when signing up for or canceling service.
5. QUERY_ALL_PACAGE permission: Use this permission to detect and block malicious code by searching all apps installed on the smartphone.
