About ClanApp

Intervention model based on ICTs to reduce the risk of adolescent suicide in educational establishments in Chile.
Developed by the School of Public Health of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile, in conjunction with RedConoce LTDA. In addition, the proposal has the support of the University of O'Higgins, and the Ministry of Health of Chile. This project obtained its financing in the FONDEF IDeA public tender in 2016 (first stage) and 2019 (second stage).

Principles that guide the intervention
• Participatory, community and inclusive approach.
• Consideration of students as "experienced experts" during all stages of the project.
• Creation of a virtual community (maintaining anonymity and confidentiality), where peer support is developed.
• Strengthening of support networks within the school community.
• Quick care in local health services (primary care centers and mental health centers), for those who require it.
• Promotion of the mental, physical and social well-being of students and the whole school community.
