Jung Ho-seok, better known as J-Hope, is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, dancer, and record producer. BTS JHope debuted as a member of the South Korean boy band BTS in 2013. J-Hope released his first solo mixtape, Hope World, in 2018.
The album received positive reception from critics, and peaked at number 38 on the Billboard 200 in the United States, making it the highest-charting Korean solo artist at the time. BTS JHope was the first BTS member to enter the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019 as a soloist, when his single "Chicken Noodle Soup", featuring Becky G, debuted at number 81 on the chart. In 2022, J-Hope released his debut studio album Jack in the Box.

Before debuting with BTS, JHope was part of the underground dance team Neuron. j-hope was already relatively well known for his skills in dancing before debut, BTS J-Hope won various competitions in his field, including first place in the national competition in 2008.
