The experience points attributed to eco-gestures were chosen according to their feasibility and the impact of the different sectors concerned, in terms of pollution (in Geneva). To do this, we used a graph presented in class on the impact of these sectors (Territorial carbon footprint of the canton of Geneva). Thus, the most polluting sectors, give more points, in order to encourage eco-gestures in these categories.
Users will therefore be able to develop their character, compare their progress with each other and even challenge each other (even if the application is offline). Indeed, CheckTonEco has 5 levels. The passage to the first level (initiated) requires 50 points, then 100 points for the second, 200 points for the third, 400 points for the fourth and 800 points for the fifth. In addition, we used the app ourselves for several days, to find out how many points we could accumulate daily and to get an idea of the speed of progression, while remaining consistent with the categories. Additionally, we have made level-to-level progression require at least a month of in-game use, to establish potential new habits among users.
