The eScan App is a great little app that reads RFID’s from RFID Readers (hand held or mounted) and sends information directly through to your saleG8 server. It can be used for calf sales, sheep sales, cattle sales and private sales. You can use it in one of the following ways:
Pre Sale Scanning Mode - directly off the truck or ramp.
Pre Sale Drafting Mode - after they are drafted and before they are sold.
Pre Sale Pen Up Mode - allocating to a pen.
Post Sale Scanning Mode - scanning in pen and entering price and buyer.
Post Sale Complete Mode - entering all the details of a lot and scanning in pen.
Single Lot Mode - this mode allows all of the above modes but will create a single lot for each RFID. This is used primarily for calf sales at the moment.
The main features of the eScan App include:
Detection of duplicate RFID’s scanned in a previous pen and allow you to exclude them from the current pen.
All field names can be customisable to suit either your company or country specific terminology.
Data is stored locally and can exported as CSV if data needs to be recovered.
Realtime communication with the saleG8 server.
Ability to work offline and send data later. Useful when reading RFID’s in a no phone zone.
Can connect to multiple scanners when used with multi panel RFID race readers.
Runs on inexpensive Android devices which are compatible with nearly all of the readers used in the field today. Put it in the bag with the RFID Reader so everyone can use it.
