ScanScraps helps the planet by providing credits and to people who divert food waste from the landfill and incinerator. Users of the ScanScraps app record the amount and frequency of food was diversion by scanning compostable bags and other containers when filled with food scraps and earning credits and incentives when those bags are deposited in a municipal food scrap program based on a conversion of food scraps to CO2e metrics.
