ExtremIctus is an application that allows the recognition of the symptoms and definition of the protocol of action before a patient with Stroke, where time is a critical factor to ensure a successful health care. The application is addressed to two groups. The first is the citizen, who with a simple questionnaire can assess the seriousness of the situation to make the correct measures and decisions. The second group is the health professional of the SES, in which with an advanced diagnostic questionnaire you can determine the best performance protocol depending on your work center and the distance and time to the rest of the Extremadura health centers, as well as to the Units of Cáict and Badajoz Teleictus.
The application also incorporates an access to the book "Consensus Document for Patient Care with Stroke in the Field of Primary Care" and aims to be a tool to help in the activation of stroke care protocols in our community.
FEATURES:
* For the group of citizens: Evaluation of the severity of the patient with stroke through simple and easy to understand questionnaires.
* For the group of health professionals of the SES: Evaluation of the severity of the patient through a patient symptomatology questionnaire, which, through an intelligent algorithm, and starting from the professional's work center, is able to define a protocol of action for a quick and correct intervention (and referral if necessary) of the patient.
* Implementation of the calculation of the probability of high occlusion in a large cerebral vessel taking into account recent publications such as the RACE methodology **.
* Interactive map of Extremadura with the location of all the health centers of the SES, on which the action protocols are marked.
* Access to the book “Document Agreed for Patient Care with Stroke in the Field of Primary Care”.
** N. Pérez de la Ossa et al (2014). “Design and validation of a prehospital stroke scale to predict large arterial occlusion. The Rapid Arterial Occlusion Evaluation Scale ”, Stroke 45 (1): 87-91.
