The Conduits d'Air software is intended for the calculation of air ducts for air conditioning and ventilation systems.
Any combination of units: speed (m / s, FPM), flow (m3 / h, l / s, CFM), pressure drop (mm H2O / m, Pa / m, In H2O / 100 Ft) and dimensions (mm, inches) can be selected, which are stored and used until other units are selected.
Five types of ducts with different roughness factors are calculated: glass wool with internal aluminum, galvanized steel, glass wool with inner glass fabric, aluminum hose and reinforced steel wire hose.
The calculation of the pipelines starts by default with the most common calculation limits: maximum air speed = 10 m / s and maximum pressure drop = 1 Pa / m, which can be modified if necessary. This allows the calculation by introducing only the air flow.
In ducts constructed of galvanized steel, the results are given simultaneously for circular, square or rectangular and flat-oval.
In square, rectangular and flat-oval ducts, the height and width can be varied at will, with the limit that the relationship between the sides allows a good operation.
Once the calculation is made, the exact equivalent diameter, the air velocity and the actual pressure drop of the duct are indicated.
The application is suitable for solving any on-site modification and performing project calculations in the technical office.
