The Air Distribution application is for the calculation of ducts for air conditioning and ventilation systems, as well as for the quick selection of grilles and air diffusers under the most common conditions of use.
(Mm / m, Pa / m, InH 2 O / 100 Ft) and dimensions (mm, m / s, inch) can be selected, which is saved and used until the selection of other units.
Five classes of ducts with different roughness factors are calculated: Glass wool with inner aluminum, galvanized steel sheet, glass wool with internal fabric, flexible aluminum and flexible with spiral steel structure.
The calculation of the ducts starts by default with the most common calculation limits: maximum air velocity = 10 m / s and maximum friction loss = 1 Pa / m, which can be changed if desired. This allows calculations to be made by inserting only the air flow.
In glass wool ducts with internal fabric or aluminum, the height and width can be modified as desired, with the limit that the relation between the sides allows a smooth operation.
In ducts constructed of galvanized sheet steel the results are given simultaneously for circular, square or rectangular and oval, and the height of the ducts can be varied both rectangular and oval.
Once the calculation is made, the exact equivalent diameter, the actual air velocity and the actual loss of friction of the duct are indicated.
The application is intended to address any in-place modification and perform design calculations in the technical office.
