Alhamdulillah, thanks be to Allah S.W.T, finally we PonPon Media have successfully completed the Offline Prophet Sholawat application. As Muslims, it is fitting for us to regularly recite prayers for the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Because, by reading sholawat, we always pray for Rasulullah SAW. Even Allah SWT promises to us who love prayer will get intercession in the hereafter.
One of the practices that can be done by Muslims is chanting sholawat prophet in both open and narrow times. According to a narration, Rasulullah SAW will intercede for those who pray to him. Rasulullah SAW said: "The person who is most entitled to my intercession on the Day of Resurrection is the person who prays to me the most." (HR Tirmidhi and An-Nasa'i)
Ibn Watiniyah said in the book The Complete Collection of Shalawat of the Prophet, in the language of sholawat means prayer, giving blessings, and worship. Meanwhile, in terms, sholawat is an expression of flattery, admiration, as well as the request of a servant to Allah to glorify the Prophet Muhammad. Furthermore, he explained, sholawat is a form of acknowledgment of the apostleship as well as love for the Prophet Muhammad.
In this case, sholawat is not only done by humans, but Allah SWT and the angels also pray to the Prophet Muhammad SAW. As His words in Surah Al Ahzab verse 56: "Indeed Allah and His angels pray for the Prophet. O you who believe! Pray for the Prophet and say greetings with respect to him." (Surah Al Ahzab: 56)
Sholawat of the Prophet is divided into two types, namely sholawat ma'tsurah and ghairu ma'tsurah. Sholawat Ma'tsurah is a sholawat whose sentence, reading time, and virtue were made by the Prophet Muhammad. Here's an example: "Allahumma shalli alaa Muhammadinin nabiyyil ummiyyi wa'alaa aalihii wa sallim." (O Allah, bestow mercy and greetings on Muhammad, the umm prophet)
Meanwhile, Sholawat Ghairu Ma'tsurah is a prayer made by scholars and pious people who are unquestionable in terms of their knowledge and piety. For example, the Munjiyat prayer created by Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Jaelani and the Fatih prayer created by Sheikh Ahmad al-Tijami.
