2015. After decades of attempts, the city of Pilar, in Greater Maceió, has its first community radio station officialized by the Ministry of Communications. PILAR FM, broadcasting on 87.9 MHz, Rádio do Povo, is a dream of a group of residents who together formed the Pilarense Association of Community Radio. With an eclectic programming, PILAR FM brings daily in its programming the main information from Brazil and the world, highlighting cultural, sports, political themes and Pilar's daily life.
