Stølstrimmen is the mailbox trim in Jostedalen.
We started in 1999 and have since then hung up 10 mailboxes in the mountains around Jostedalen every quarter of a year. The postman host hung out in the spring as it stretched, and take down that throughout October.
From being a postman only on stilts in the beginning, it has since been added many other nice hiking destinations, both DNT cabin, other cabins and vantage point. The most important thing is that there are trips that are relatively easy to go and find, and everyone should be able to manage most of them.
Adults can choose 8 different trips every quarter, while children (up to 12 years) listen to 5 different trips, to get a prize. The prize is usually a tour-related thing.
