About Map Seeker - Seeks locations
Map Seeker is a Location Based Application which helps people find utility places like ATMs, banks ,bus stops, restaurants, hotels , hospitals etc.Provides the following major functionality:.
1.Listing of places based on a category .
2.Provides directions from a current location to an end point
3. Sends via text message the directions to someone who is in need ( visually challenged/ elderly users).
Map Seeker lists the 10 most useful utility services .When an user touches any one of the services ,it finds places of a similar type within 5000 m range and lists it. The list contains names of the place, vicinity, distance and a thumbnail image.
When an user clicks on one of the above listed places, it provides the direction from the current location to that place.
On clicking any item in the list , Mapseeker shows the direction from the present position to the chosen location. Will be useful for visually challenged and elderly users to reach their desired destination without any guidance.
Map Seeker also provides message forwarding facility, so that any direction can be easily shared without an internet connection.
