One of the popular Arabic learning guide books is the genealogy book published by Muhammad bin Su'ud Islamic University (جَامِعَةُ الإِمَامِ مُحَمَّدٍ بْنِ سُعُوْدٍ الإِسْلَامِيَّةُ) in the city of Riyadh, or which has the long name Silsilah Ta'lim Al Lughah Al Arabiyyah (سِلْسِلَةِ تَعْلِيْمِ اللُّغَةِ العَرَبِيَّةِ).

This book is widely used by schools (مَدْرَسَةٌ جـ مَدَارِسُ) and Islamic boarding schools (مَعْهَدُ جـ مَعَاهِدُ) which teach Arabic. One of them is an institution that is a branch of Muhammad bin Su'ud Islamic University in Jakarta, namely the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences, or more commonly known as LIPIA, and in Arabic it is called (مَعْهَدُ العَلُوْمِ الإِسْلَامِيَّةِ وَالعَرَبِيَّةِ).
