The eFace Auth application is an ideal service that can be used for remote authentication. In order to identify a user, the application goes through 2 main phases:
1. Capture the passport page containing the data for the holder of the document with the camera of the mobile device (smartphone), as well as machine reading of the passport data using the NFC reader of the smartphone.
2. Take a self-portrait (selfie) of the user and take a video according to the instructions displayed on the screen of the mobile device during authentication. The captured photos and videos are automatically compared to the passport photo. In case of discrepancy / discrepancy of the compared data, the authentication process cannot be continued.
