About Skin Detective
Skin Detective app can automatically grade your facial acne severity using your selfie images. If you desire, the app will then connect you to remote dermatologists for tele-consultation via a built-in messenger.
To use, you will need to create an account or use Facebook / Google account to login. After logging in, you can choose one of the following:
- "Analyze your skin"
- "Chat with dermatologists".
If you choose "Analyze your skin", the app will ask you several questions and allow you to take a facial selfie. It will then automatically analyze the data and display your acne severity grading (for reference purpose only). In case you would like to receive consultation from dermatologists, you can press "Chat with dermatologists" followed by consent a dermatologist in a list of dermatologists displayed in Skin Detective app. Your answers to the above questions and your facial selfie will then be sent to the chosen dermatologist. Based on the data, the dermatologists will consult you about your facial acne condition and treatment options through a built-in messenger.
If you choose "Chat with dermatologists" right at the beginning, you can chat directly with any dermatologist in the list of dermatologists displayed in Skin Detective app without having to answer the app's questions or taking a selfie.
