ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Slopeland College - Slopeland College of Teacher's Education was established in 2014 under Slopeland Public School Trust. It is the first and the only teachers training college in southern Manipur.
It is e-campus , fully digitized ,whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled , located at very environmental friendly & historically important of Kheba Ching where Khongjom War was fought.
It is recognized by NCTE (National Council of Teachers Education ) & affiliated to Manipur University.
We offer full time regular three courses ,namely , B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) & two Under Graduation courses - BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) & BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application )
RECOGNITION
In exercise of the power vested under section 14(3)(a) of the National Council for teacher Education (NCTE) Act. 1993, the Eastern Region Committee granted Slopeland College of Teachers Education, Plot No. 1333, Street No. NH-102 , Slat Village , Khongjom , P.O. Wangjing - 795148 , Thoubal District , Manipur , for B.Ed training course from the academic session 2014-15 with an annual intake capacity of 100 ( one hundred ) trainees in two units per academic year bearing its recognition No. F. ECR/NCTE/(APP15)/2012B.Ed. ( Revised Order ) / 2015/31849 , dated 22/05/2015 and recently granted Permanent Affiliation by Manipur University bearing No. MU/LI(Affln.)CDC/2014/504 dated 07/01/2020.
AFFILIATION
The Slopeland College of Teachers Education, Khongjom has obtained permission from the Government of Manipur for setting up of the college vide order No. 15/5/2011-NE(Pt) dated 06/04/2013 and it is affiliated to the Manipur University vide oder No. MU/85/CDC/2014/473 dated 22/04/2014.
Under the same umbrella , Slopeland College of Management Studies (BBA)- Bachelor of Business Administration & Slopeland College of Information Technology (BCA)- Bachelor of Computer Application was established in 2017 , affiliated to Manipur University. These are three year undergraduate courses which has six semester.
DURATION AND INTAKE
The B.Ed. training programme was initially for one year duration but from session 2015-2016 it became for two years as per direction of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) norms & standard.
There are two unit of 100 (hundred) trainees each, 200 trainees per batch , only for an academic year.
