Gender based violence is a matter of human rights violation. The gender based violation acts whether physical, sexual or psychological afflicts the most basic right to human dignity. In essence, non-partner violence, interpersonal violence or intimate partner violence lead to physical or emotional trauma which dis-empowers people in our communities. The solution to this is to empower our communities by giving them a HERO app that stands as their voice, a support and anonymous empowering tool where there can just use their smart phones to request the service of a gender equity officer who might be a registered social worker, the victim command center or any Gender based violence officer. To this end, an empowered community is a happy country, continent and the world at large.
