Promoting democratic culture through rural cultural tourism clusters Project
This project aims to advance community-based tourism clusters in marginalized Palestinian villages in participatory methods for enhanced social cohesion, intercultural national dialogue, identity building, and protection of Palestine’s diversity. Tourism cluster governance is proposed as solid models for sustainable and socially accountable cultural platforms to be managed as a network that promotes Palestinian cultural identity and heritage with strong involvement of rural women and youth.
Mobile Application
This application aims to assist visitors to learn, read and interact with the tourism sites, the people and the different services available in the clusters. Through an interactive map of three regions in the West Bank (Jerusalem, Ramallah and Jenin), as part of the project “promoting democratic culture through rural culture tourism clusters”, implemented by the Palestinian Youth Association for Leadership and Rights Activation PYALARA in cooperation with the ROZANA Association, Palestinian Working Woman Society for Development PWWSD and PLEF organization, with the support of the European Union. This application will be in English language and Arabic to serve both local and international tourists.
