TouristiCT

This app is part of the UR Project that is inspired by three realities, the network of existing European trails and their importance in promoting sports activity and healthy habits, the growing importance of the implementation, exchange and dissemination of policies and plans of action in matters of environmental sustainability in the European university environment and, finally, the use and development of infrastructures and applications, increasingly essential, based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).

The UR Project is an initiative, which under the theme Unite for Culture and Knowledge, aims to: promote cultural exchange, in its broadest sense, among the members of the European university community, and disseminate university policies in all the areas related to environmental sustainability: teaching, research, innovation and technology transfer, volunteering and cooperation, and environmental planning, management and evaluation, through the development of infrastructures and applications based on information and communication technologies.

The app supposes the development at local level, within the city of Cartagena of these initiatives. Designed to operate with it in a simple and intuitive way, it will serve as a guide to carry out a healthy physical activity in the surroundings of the facilities of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), it will allow to keep a control of the carried out activity and to share the information with others. It will also be possible to plan routes with a different purpose, oriented to tourism, thus knowing the history of UPCT buildings.
