A bit about Villa Paradiso.
When we traveled to Naples in 2003, we had no idea we would come home with both a pizza oven and an Italian chef. We fell in love with the Italian food culture and the trip was the start of an absolutely fantastic journey.
The following year we opened the doors of Villa Paradiso on Grünerløkka in Oslo, and since then has become a neighborhood restaurant that has served thousands of Neapolitan pizzas and other Italian dishes to loved ones.
Our love has developed into a deep love for Italian food culture and the trips to Naples have become numerous. Our passion has become so strong that we have made it our vision to pass it on so that more people can experience what Neapolitan pizza and authentic Italian food culture has to offer. We want more people to breathe in the unbeatable smell of roasted pizza buns, mozzarella and tomato sauce oozing out of a wood stove and into a room full of buzz and voices of expectant people, who are hungry for both pizza and life.
Ever since its inception, we have adhered to the basic principles we have been working on. Our pizza dough is always raised for three days and roasted in real wood stove on beech wood. We are genuinely concerned about food experiences and uncompromising when it comes to ingredients and the way we cook. Nobody is going to tell us how to make pizza, because this is something we can go in and out of, both in body and soul. Some will probably call us a little stubborn, but for us it's about passion, integrity and love for the subject. In addition, we are committed to promoting health, sustainability and animal welfare.
A good dining experience is about so much more than just the food. We want our guests to feel the pulse we live and breathe for each and every day. For Italians, family is more important than anything else, which is why one of our most important principles is to treat both guests and colleagues as if they are part of the family. Our visitors should long for the busy environment, the slightly high noise level and the smell of real wood-fired Neapolitan pizza when they have been away for a long time. And they should feel like they are returning home when they return. Benvenuto a casa!
