About GOIA - Barcode

Technological solution to guarantee the traceability of the productive units generated by any agricultural operation based on the use of individual labels for their identification.

GOIA Barcode, proposes the use of labels provided with QR codes to identify and georeference each productive unit of a crop so that all kinds of information can be obtained and stored from birth to collection. Our proposal is to use this low-cost technology to bring the production model of any farm closer to a model based on "Precision Agriculture", much more economically profitable with all the guarantees of safety on the final product.

As in any factory, all products are correctly identified by a bar code, the use of labels in the field will allow any farm to work in a very similar way as any other retail company would. This means that any productive unit (tree, harvest, bed, ...) will generate information that, by using Big Data techniques and predictive models, can be used to improve the productivity of any farm.

This new labeling product will also allow us to link the information that the user enters in each label with the information generated by the field notebook of our GOIA platform and thus be able to obtain much more information about it. In this way we will be able to know information in real time about the phytosanitary products that have been applied to it, the quantity of water supplied, the fertilizers used, etc.

One of its main advantages is that being QR codes, these can be read practically through the use of any mobile device available on the market, without the need to purchase any special device that could increase the price of the solution. In addition, the use of QR codes instead of the typical barcode allows not only that the reading is much easier (both horizontal and vertical) but that we can store a greater amount of information in it.

All this information will accompany the product at all times until it arrives at the different distribution centers where mechanisms will be established to automatically identify the agricultural holding to which it belongs and if it has complied with all the established safety deadlines.

Through the GOIA barcode, the packages where the product is weighed will also be able to associate each QR tag with its exact weight, which together with its geographical location will help the producer to have more accurate information about the areas with the highest profitability of their product. , locations with a shorter maturation period, etc.
