The day of energy saving and sustainable lifestyles was launched in 2005 by Caterpillar and Rai Radio2, to ask listeners to turn off unnecessary lights and rethink consumption. On the occasion of the 2020 edition "M'illumino di meno", at the Campus of the University of Calabria, among the various initiatives planned during the event, it will be possible to track your movements through the app to evaluate the individual savings of CO2.
In particular, the application is able to identify the movements made on foot, running or through a motorized vehicle and estimates their carbon dioxide consumption (or savings, assuming that the sections traveled on foot replace the use of the vehicle ).
The data are collected anonymously and identify only the winners of the contest, associating the aggregated data to the institutional email address provided during the application registration phase.
