The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registry (Ditjen Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs is now making it easier to service population administration documents through independent printing innovations from home. Population documents, such as birth certificates, family cards, and death certificates, can be printed by yourself using plain white paper type HVS A4 80 grams from a printer at home or other places.
So, you don't have to bother going to the nearest Dukcapil Office just to take care of all the population documents. Even if you only print it on a sheet of paper and unlike before using anti-counterfeit holographic security printing paper, the document still has legal force.
The key is in a quick response (QR) scanner code in the lower right corner of the paper document that you have printed independently from home. This QR code is a kind of electronic signature as a sign of the authenticity of the data and a substitute for the signature and wet stamp that was previously printed with security printing.
Then how do you how to print your own family card at home ? We can first check the validity of the document. If the document we are going to print is original, then a green check mark will appear and an active document is written, the applicant's Identity Number (NIK), the applicant's name, and the document number. If the document is fake or doesn't match the one in the database, a red check will appear.
