In the world today approximately one-third of all food produced for human consumption goes to waste globally. At the same time many needy people sleep hungry each day.

There are many individuals and non-profits who are trying to help by setting up food-banks but lack a consistent mechanism to connect with donors ensuring a constant supply of diverse food inventory.

Food Saver connects you with individuals and businesses near you who are willing to offer their surplus food and grocery as donation instead of letting it expire and be thrown as waste.

Steps to Use the FoodSaver :
1. Register with your phone number.
2. Complete your profile and contact details
3. There are two main personas in the App a Donor and a Requester
4. A user can be both a Donor and a Requester at the same time.
5. Start offering your surplus food inventory
6. Browse nearby food offerings by fellow App users and request a claim
7. As a Donor you have the right to approve the claim against each of your offers to a chosen requester (for example you can see their non-profit status)
8. Once approved the requester can see the approved claim in their homepage
9. The requester can then view the Donor contact details and make phone call to the Donor to collect the offer.
