Unifacisa Basketball was born in 2012, inspired by the great NBA clubs, more precisely the Boston Celtics. The biggest feat so far was the gold in the Supercopa Brasil de Basquete, won in 2017. But the team also has the titles of five state champion, two-time Northeast champion, two-time champion of JUB's and champion of the Paraibana league. The team was born with aspirations to be a giant on and off the court.
The idea is to make the land of O Maior São João do Mundo also the capital of basketball, and there are many investments to reach this goal. In the construction of the Unifacisa Arena alone, a space for the team's training, the investment was R$ 10 million, already thought to have the standard required by the NBB. The space has everything, including changing rooms and the largest gym in the city, with the aim of serving the team's athletes. In addition, flooring approved by the Brazilian Basketball Confederation.
