About El Hombre Mediocre - eBook

The mediocre man is a book by the Italian-Argentine sociologist and doctor José Ingenieros, published in 1913. The work deals with the nature of man, opposing two types of personalities: that of the mediocre man and that of the idealist, analyzing the moral characteristics of each, and the forms and roles these types of men have adopted in history, society, and culture.

José Ingenieros says that "there are no equal men", and divides them in turn into three types: the inferior man, the mediocre man and the superior man; he does not attack the first two, but describes all three and exalts the idealist.
