Serbian Television from Chicago began its work in 2000 with the broadcasting of TV programs in three American states, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. STV was the first television in the world that, in addition to satellite, cable network and analog signal, tried to broadcast the program over the Internet. Back in 2000, broadcasting TV programs via interns was a great challenge but still achievable. At that time, the program of Serbian Television, in addition to RTS, RTS satellite channel, BK television and BN television, was broadcast on another 52 local TV stations in Serbia and the region. Today, the program is broadcast on cable channel 19 in Chicago, the third largest city in America, and the shows in Serbian and English can be watched by several million viewers.
