This app is aimed at people and groups who want to recycle their waste in Querétaro, Mexico (for now). VIRA will collect the waste at your doorstep and guarantee that it really IS recycled. There are two RECYCLABLE AND ORGANIC programs. You can choose one or both. Each program has a bottle: yellow for recyclables and green for organic. Enrollment in each program costs $ 200, you will receive the pot at home and online training on how to separate. You can be part of the Collaborative Recycling Network individually or collectively. 1) INDIVIDUAL, you register on your own and select between two options for the collection: a) Semester plan with collections every 15 days, cost $ 300 for the semester, b) Per event, each time you need it we collect it, cost $ 50 . Each colony has a collection day, for example, in El Refugio it is Monday. 2) COLLECTIVE, your condominium, school or business can be added. Condominiums have weekly collection, cost per house per month $ 60 one program or $ 100 both programs (recycling and organic). If you are a school or business, you can enroll your community with multiple additional benefits. For schools, we have a program with an educational approach that allows us to put into practice the theoretical concepts taught in class. For businesses or large companies we offer a system to train their employees as agents of change in their families and neighborhoods, being a wonderful project to include in their sustainability report.Ask for more information at contacto@viracolab.mx
In the yellow bottle are paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum, tin, plastic, glass, multilayer packaging. In the green pot you will receive remains of fruits, vegetables, eggshells. VIRA will ensure the recycling of inorganic waste and the composting of organic waste. In addition, it promotes economic reactivation, with a green return, creating innovative jobs that meet the challenges of our time, environmental deterioration and poverty and inequality. It promotes the generation of decent jobs and the eradication of the social stigma of “scavengers” to “environmental agents”.
Through the App you can monitor your impact when recycling your waste, estimating the kilograms that were diverted from the sanitary landfill and avoided the extraction of virgin raw materials, saving water and energy, as well as calculating the kilograms of CO2 (gas greenhouse effect causing global warming). You will also learn about the project's contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals.
