This application is intended for those who are interested in a future visit to the cave Chufín (county of Saja-Nansa, Cantabria) individually or also to help teachers and students to prepare for the visit to the cave as a school activity. Chufín cave houses one of the Cantabrian cave art sanctuaries that have been considered World Heritage by the quality and uniqueness of their representations.
Although the cave remains of different periods, the time is best represented the Solutrean period during the Upper Palaeolithic to the point that experts who have studied the considered one of the best sources of this period of Cantabria. Thus, although this does not mean you can not refer to earlier and later periods, the weight of the narrative will focus at this time.
Content developed in this application becomes a powerful teaching tool for understanding the rock art of the Upper Paleolithic in two ways. On the one taught to "read" the engravings and paintings Chufín housing (in the sense of knowing how to identify representations and to interpret them) and, on the other hand, facilitates the exploration of the cave environment to display the keys side mode lives of the people who lived 17,000 years ago in Chufín, with the aim that this knowledge helps to understand the complex and often enigmatic meaning of rock art.
