Al-Barzanji is a book written by "Shaykh Ja'far bin Husain bin Abdul Karim al-Barzanji". He was born in Medina in 1690 AD, and died in 1766 AD Barzanji comes from the name of a region in Kurdikistan Barzinj. Actually, the book was titled ‘Iqd al-jawahir (jeweled necklace), but later it was more famous as al-barzanji.
