BùShŏu is a small application created with the aim of facilitating the learning of Chinese radicals (as well as HSK 1 characters) based on repetition.
It is possible to use either simplified or traditional characters.
The interface is available in three languages:
- English
- Spanish
- French
The application takes the form of a memory game.
There are 3 types of different levels:
- Characters: You have to guess the meaning of the character, among 4 proposals
- Pinyin: You have to guess the pinyin transcription associated to a character, among 4 proposals
- Audio: You have to guess the character corresponding to its pronunciation, among 4 proposals
There are 43 levels for the radicals, and 32 for the HSK1. Each level adds 5 new characters to know, while keeping the characters from the previous levels.
To go from one level to another, you have to complete a series of 100 rounds. The closer you get to the 100th round, the shorter the time to answer is.
