To save money during off-peak hours, you need a dynamic time-of-use tariff, like the aWATTar HOURLY tariff (available in Germany and Austria - find more information under www.awattar.com)

With tado° Smart Charging, you can specify your charging preferences, such as the time by which you want your electric car to be fully charged. The charging process is then automatically scheduled to maximize the amount of renewable energy used and minimize the cost of charging, all while ensuring your vehicle is ready to go when you need it! Now you can start saving on your energy bill while balancing the grid and charging with more sustainable energy!

* Electric vehicles from following brands can be connected directly: Audi, Cupra, Hyundai, Skoda, Tesla, Volkswagen. For some other brands a smart wallbox must also be installed and connected. Smart wallboxes from Zaptec, Wallbox or Easee are compatible with the app.
