Tahajud prayer is a sunnah prayer at night which is performed after sleeping. The law of the midnight prayer is a sunnah based on the consensus of the scholars. Its sunnah is disgusting or very strong because it was always carried out by the Prophet Muhammad
Tahajud comes from the verb 'tahajjada' which means to stay awake at night, watch the night. Practicing the midnight prayer can be with two cycles and one witr at the minimum, or eight to ten cycles and followed by an odd number of cycles for the witr prayer
The following is a prayer after the midnight prayer
> Allahumma lakal-hamd. Anta qaiyyimus-samawati wal-ardhi wa man fihinna. Walakal-hamd, Laka mulkus-samawati wal-ardhi wa man fihinna. Walakal-hamd, anta nurse-samawati wal-ardhi. Walakalhamd, anta-l-haq wa wa'duka-l-haq, wa liqa'uka Haq, wa qualuka Haq, wal-jannatu Han wan-naru Haq wannabiyuna Haq. Wa Muhammadun, sallal-lahu-alaihi-wasallam, Haq, was-sa'atu Haq. Allahumma aslamtu Laka wabika amantu, wa 'Alayka tawakkaltu wa ilayka anabtu wa bika Khasamtu wa ilayka hakamtu faghfir li ma qaddamtu wama akh-khartu wama as-rartu wama'a lantu anta-l-muqaddimu wa anta-l-mu'akh-khiru la ilaha illa anta (or la ilaha ghairuka). ¹
