The Tecno Switch OR952DI App is used to control and program the Astronomical Switch of the same name. In short, this device switches on a relay at sunset and switches it off at sunrise and therefore must know the times in which these events occur throughout the year and in any geographical location.
This App solves the problems related to setting the coordinates of the place where the device will operate, using the smartphone's ability to determine its geographical position through the built-in GPS module. The position thus determined is then used to calculate the sunrise and sunset times for the whole year and the processed data is finally sent via WiFi connection to the device which stores them in its permanent memory.
For easy use of the application, the various functions are divided into pages; for typical use, the functions available on the App start page will suffice.
The OR952DI Astronomical Switch connects to a smartphone acting as a "hot spot", i.e. as a WiFi access point. Pressing one of the buttons or moving the joystick starts the “hot spot” function for 5 minutes. After this time, the switch turns off its own WiFi module. Of course, each new operation will restart the 5-minute time. The “hot spot” will be visible on your smartphone's network list as OR952DI_xxxxxx, where xxxxxx is a unique code for each device.
