The Museu Catavento App allows visitors to enjoy immersive storytelling experiences at the Museu Catavento using the power of augmented reality and artificial intelligence technology.
How it Works
Using the Museu Catavento App, visitors can use their smartphones to scan interactive exhibits and experience engaging digital content, such as multimedia animations, 3D models, videos, audio, images, text, and quizzes!
Instructions:
- Download the Museu Catavento App.
- Create an account.
- Enter your user code (purchasable online or at the admissions counter).
- Find the interactive exhibits in the museum which can be identified by large blue and orange signs.
- Follow the instructions on the sign.
- Enjoy the immersive storytelling experiences.
Features
Immersive storytelling:
- Visitors can now experience the museum in a new way using augmented reality and artificial intelligence technology. Using the Museu Catavento App, visitors can scan interactive exhibits with their smartphone to enjoy engaging stories that have been customely curated for each exhibit. These stories can be the form of multimedia animations, 3D models, videos, audio, images, or text.
Map:
- The in-app map is a useful tool for visitors to navigate through the museum. Using the map, visitors can easily navigate the many sections of the museum and identify the interactive exhibits around them.
Quizzes:
- Interactive quizzes make learning in the museum fun! After passing a quiz, the visitor will receive a blue gem. Visitors can track their progress in the Profile area and play against other players to see where they rank on the Leaderboard.
Profile and language settings:
- The Museu Catavento App and all immersive storytelling experiences are currently available in two languages: Portuguese and English. Visitors can select their preferred language in the Profile area, as well as choose a profile picture and complete their personal information.
