Over 80 years ago, engineers and constructors set a place on the map where the Dunajec waters piled up by a dam created an artificial reservoir. Planners were guided by the practical need to build a hydroelectric power plant and keep the mountain river at bay threatening the inhabitants of the region. And although it may sound incredible, the side effect of the great engineering operation was the creation of the "miracle of nature" for which the Rożnowskie Lake is considered. This man helped nature create this place. Stopped by the Dunajec dam, it was built between the mountains creating an exceptionally charming lake of dreams.
