The “Time-Out” prayer began as a proposal by Chiara Lubich, in 1991, during the Gulf War, to create a “human chain” that would connect and embrace the whole world. With this, in the face of so many problems that plague the planet, Time-Out consists of weaving a network of peace around the world, with thousands of people from all countries who, every day, at 12:00 pm, each one in your time zone, say the Time-Out prayer for world peace, renewing your personal commitment to building it where you are. Nowadays there are thousands who make the Time-out for peace every day and, thus, ensure that this request for peace, this prayer, goes around the world without stopping.
