Sathyanarayana Pooja is the best way to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu. It is performed before and/or after the fulfillment of one's desires. The Lord in this form is considered an embodiment of truth(Satya).

The Satyanarayan Puja is a religious worship of the Hindu god Vishnu. Satya means “truth” and Narayana means, “The highest being” so Satyanarayan means “The highest being who is an embodiment of Truth”. Vrat or Puja means a religious vow, religious observance, or obligation.

The story of Lord Satyanarayan has been doing the welfare of the people of the earth for centuries. According to astrologers, by performing the ritual of Satyanarayana fast, a person can get rid of all his sufferings. People usually organize the story and fast of Satyanarayana on the completion of a vow but Satyanarayana God is also worshiped for happiness, peace, and prosperity in life.

The mention of Lord Satyanarayana is found in Skanda Purana. In the Skanda Purana, Lord Vishnu has told Narada the importance of this fast. The simplest, most popular and effective worship in Kali Yuga is considered to be that of Lord Satyanarayana.
