The Trash4cash App is the first digital online application on Solid Waste Management (SWM)
services in Malaysia. It is a One-Stop SWM Services Online Platform focusing on Reducing, Reuse and Recycling (3Rs) activities. This App is a socio-economic tool that provides convenience
for public, community, industry, commercial and institutional to request collection of recyclables
materials as well as other SWM services through an online mobile application platform.
WASTETOWEALTH Holdings (M) Sdn. Bhd. (Company Registration No: 1354043-A) is the
beneficial and registered proprietor of the Trash4cash App. On the 9th September 2020, the
Government of Malaysia through YB Minster, Ministry of Housing and Local Government has
approved and granted WASTETOWEALTH Holdings (M) Sdn. Bhd. the right and authority to
inter alia, manage, operate, and maintain Material Recovery Facility (MRF), and to perform
recycling collection and processing activities based on the digital application Trash4cash App
nationwide. The successful implementation will provide an efficient and environment friendly
SWM solution that will support Government Policies such as Dasar Pengurusan Sisa Pepejal
Negara (2016), Dasar Komuniti Negara and Dasar Kebersihan Negara. The company has also
obtained approval from the State of Kedah Darulaman through a letter dated 27th August 2020
inked by YAB Menteri Besar Kedah to authorize the implementation.
Main objectives of the Trash4cash Application are:
1. To encourage all level of societies and industry to recycle and get paid through an effective,
and reliable door to door collection of recyclables based on real-time request via online,
2. To act as a one stop SWM services digital online platform to request for collection of
recyclables, waste collection services, bins rental, grass cutting and other cleaning works,
3. To support the Government Policy on Waste Separation at Source program,
4. To provide job opportunities for social entrepreneurs as recyclable’s collector or grass cutter
or cleaners especially from the B40 groups as Pinky Warriors,
5. To provide business opportunities for small and medium industry to operate the Material
Recovery Facility as Pinky Hubs under the franchise – franchisee program,
6. To act as secondary raw material feeders to relevant industry,
7. To provide reliable data on recycling activities, and to disseminate education and awareness
campaign through online.
