• TRAK_EM requires a Smartphone with Android 6.0+ and Bluetooth 4.0.
• As TRAK-EM gets closer to the signal from the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) (also known as Bluetooth 4.0) device many user friendly options happen. The rings change color; the number of Pings increase and the blips move as the distance decreases to the BLE device. Find your Bluetooth enabled car lost in a parking lot!
• Let's get started using TRAK_EM!
• Touch TURN ON and the Location Query is seen. Select "YES". This will add Location permission to the TRAK_EM app. The app will not Start with a "NO".
• Next step is to enable your Smartphone's Bluetooth. TRAK-EM will turn on Bluetooth by selecting "YES". The app will not Start with a "NO".
• The Radar pings can be silenced by touching the Speaker Icon on the main screen.
• Touch the RADAR button to start the BLE signal scanning.
• The relative distance plus the Radar blip will be shown and the Ping Sound will be may change once the Radar locks on to the signal. This could take a while depending on signal strength and location and other rather technical factors..
• The four on screen buttons START STOP SCAN and EXIT control the Radar and are self explanatory.
• SCAN will activate a Distance and 0 to 100 % tracking bar screen with the relative distance from the BLE device.
• EXIT returns to the main screen.
• One very nice feature is that TRAK_EM can be used in the sun when Smartphone screens are basically invisible. The Radar sound will increase with more Pings the closer TRAK_EM gets to the BLE device.
• Touch TURN OFF to shutdown TRAK_EM and the Smartphone Bluetooth and return to the Home Screen.
• Technical Stuff: TRAK_EM searches for Bluetooth Low Energy BLE devices. Android 6.0+ Marshmallow is supported. TRAK_EM has been optimized for Bluetooth BLE devices using proprietary code.
