About TripSplit Split Bills,Expenses
TripSplit is an expense and bill splitting app designed for trips, holidays, daily shared costs, and group activities. It helps groups record who paid, how much was spent, and who should settle with whom at the end. The focus is on keeping shared money simple so that groups can concentrate on their plans and time together instead of doing manual calculations.
Create a new trip, add participants, and start logging shared expenses in a few steps. Each expense can include a title, amount, date, category, payer, and the members who share that cost. TripSplit calculates individual shares and balances automatically in the background, so users do not need separate spreadsheets or calculators. At any time, the balance view shows how much each person has paid and how much they owe or should receive.
TripSplit supports many real‑life scenarios. It can be used for group travel with friends, family vacations, weekend outings, shared home expenses between roommates, office events, or any situation where several people contribute to common costs. Categories such as stay, food, transport, shopping, tickets, fuel, activities, and others help group expenses for easier review later. Users can customise categories to match their own style of budgeting and reporting.
The app lets users invite and manage trip members. Contacts can be imported or added manually, and each member can be included in all expenses by default or only selected for specific expenses. Balances are shown per person so that it is clear who owes money and who should receive money. This makes it easier to plan settlements at the end of a trip or at regular intervals during a long journey.
TripSplit supports a configurable currency for each trip. Users can choose a default currency and enter expenses in that currency to keep calculations consistent. Amount formatting is handled automatically to keep values clear and easy to read. Combined with organised categories and member details, this provides a detailed record of the financial side of each trip or shared arrangement.
