In recent years, the availability of digital technology and the development of the Internet has led to the fact that most of the works of art we learn virtually, drawing information from the world of online. And this project is based precisely on this new reality, with the goal of combining the space of the exhibition hall and the virtual space in which the works of artists live.
The works of visual art participating in this project exist in two dimensions: offline and online. Sometimes these dimensions coexist side by side, together with each other (“augmented reality”). The exhibition shows two sequences simultaneously. In the first, a work of art “disembodied” purely technically, from sculpture and painting to video, 3D animation and VR. In the second, “dematerialization” becomes a topic, and in this case, the exhibition will appear as a journey from physicality to immateriality.
The exhibition begins with figurative works of the widest range (from painting and sculpture to video art), in which material and objective reality is the main plot. Gradually, room after room, the visible reality in the work is blurred to a complete abstraction. The journey ends in a space of virtual reality, which becomes a portal to the world of dreams, filled with works of a surreal nature.
