About Diagrama de Nolan - Ciência Po

Nolan's diagram is a visual map for identifying individual political positions based on controversial themes in a given society. It was created by the psychologist Bob Altemeyer, under the influence of Theodor Adorno and which was adapted and popularized by David Nolan between the late 1960s and early 1970s. The map is structured in two dimensions. An economic one, which divides the interviewees into left and right; dealing with themes that relate the State to the economy. Another is behavioral or moral, which divides respondents between conservatives and liberals, dealing with the acceptance or regulation of behaviors of minority groups.
