About Diccionario Yaqui

Yaqui language dictionary (yiak noki) with more than 3000 entries in English and Spanish.

This electronic dictionary has been produced by the Department of Letters and Linguistics of the University of Sonora. The projects that have allowed the development of the lexical database are the following:

• Descriptive studies in the Yaqui language (Unison, 1992-2016)
• Yaqui-Spanish-English Dictionary (Conacyt, 1995-1998)
• Documentation of the discourse in Yaqui: memory, identity and language (Unison, 2016-2019)
• Linguistic and ethnocultural studies of northwestern Mexico: preservation and digitization (Conacyt, 2017-2020)

It is also adapted from the following works:
