ASMITAS is an interactive platform developed for assessing Arsenic risk in an aquifer during the tubewell installation. Arsenic in groundwater has been reported at several places in the world, and often possess a higher health risk. ASMITAS provides a sustainable way for mitigating Arsenic risk in groundwater by identifying an appropriate source and hence minimize expansive mitigation methods.
The genesis of ASMITAS tool is based on SASMIT# research done by KTH, Sweden & color perception of local drillers for installing safer tubewells.
ASMITAS uses advanced color sensor and AI methodologies for color measurements, munsell color estimations & arsenic risk assessment.
