جائزة الملك فيصل

The King Faisal Foundation launched the King Faisal Prize, which was awarded for the first time in the year 1399 AH / 1979AD to reward individuals and institutions for their unique achievements in five different branches: service to Islam, Islamic studies, Arabic language and literature, medicine, and science. The award aims at serving Muslims in their present and future and urging them to participate in all fields of civilization. It also aims to enrich human thought and contribute to the advancement of humanity. Winners are selected based solely on their absolute eligibility and merit, and specialized selection committees carefully review their work, and the rigorous selection process of winners follows international standards, so that a large number of King Faisal Prize winners have subsequently received other prestigious awards, such as the Nobel Prize.
